Schema Therapy

Schema Therapy concentrates on the early beliefs (schemas) that are developed in childhood and adolescence and which affect the ways in which we relate to ourselves and other people. Schema Therapy suggests that these patterns of thinking and behaving continue throughout our lives and can cause some major difficulties.

Twenty20 Psychology offers Schema Therapy which uses some effective techniques to help clients notice and change their schemas. A therapy usually takes between 9 and 12 months and is particularly useful for clients who are suffering with a personality disorder or a long-term illness, such as depression which has been resistant to other treatments.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us at Twenty20 Psychology to discuss your Schema Therapy requirements.
